Larry Lloyd, a legendary figure in English football history, passed away on Thursday 23 March 2023 at the age of 75. He left an indelible mark on the world of football, having played for two famous clubs, Cheap Retro Liverpool Football Shirts and Nottingham Forest, and helped Nottingham Forest win two consecutive European Cup titles.

Born in 1948, Lloyd began his professional football career in 1967 at Plymouth Argyle in Devon. In 1969 he moved to Cheap Liverpool Football Shirts with a club record £100 000 reward. During his five years with Liverpool, Lloyd became an integral part of the team, helping them win the English First Division title and the UEFA Cup in 1973.

In 1974, Lloyd moved to Coventry City for a season. In 1976 he moved to Nottingham Forest, where he experienced the pinnacle of his career. Under manager Brian Clough, Nottingham Forest quickly rose from a second-tier team to a European powerhouse. Lloyd and his partner Kenny Burns formed a formidable defensive line that played a key role in the team's successive European Cup victories in 1979 and 1980.
